  This is the jet from Nolan. Ultra wide visor, VPS sunscreen (adjustable in various positions), Air Booster Technology upper ventilation System, peak (available according to segment - characterized by a movement which is coordinated with the visor) and set up for the N-Com communication system make the N40-5 an interesting jet for both the scooter and the motorbike sectors.

  Ultrawide visor

  The large surface of the S/R (Scratch Resistant) visor makes it possible to have a broader view, also lateral, thus highly increasing active safety. It is also able to protect the rider’s face from water and wind while guaranteeing air circulation within the helmet, as is to be expected from a jet helmet.

  Dark-tinted* VPS inner visor with UV 400 protection

  The exclusive inner visor is molded out of LEXANTM* and is S/R (Scratch Resistant) treated, with UV protection up to 400 nanometers. It is easy to remove when it is not needed, or for normal maintenance and cleaning operations.

  “Clima Comfort” inner padding

  The inner comfort padding is designed to offer both the typical lightness of a jet helmet and the close fit of a full-face helmet. The chin straps integrated into the liner (which are therefore removable and washable), favor the helmet’s fit as well as its wearability.

  Airbooster technology

  The exclusive “AirBooster Technology” upper system ensures optimal ventilation where the rider’s head most requires: the air is extracted from the upper air intake and forced into the most critical areas, avoiding any dispersion, to guarantee maximum comfort also in extreme riding conditions.

  Moreover, the ventilation system features:

  • a chin guard air intake - this allows ventilation at mouth level and directs air straight to the visor, limiting fogging
  • a rear extractor - integrated in a rear spoiler, it allows for the expulsion of hot, stale air

  Visor/Peak coordinated movement (on some models)

  Made in LEXAN polycarbonate, it can be adjusted between two positions in order to guarantee increased comfort in various conditions of use. Furthermore, the peak is characterized by a system which coordinates its movement with the visor. During the final stage of opening, the visor reaches the peak, which moves upwards, thus allowing the visor to completely clear the field of vision. On closing of the visor, the peak initially remains in the position of maximum opening previously reached, to then be automatically pulled downwards to lock into its original position.

  SHARP – The helmet safety scheme

  Nolangroup proudly underlines that all of its products - Nolan, X-lite and Grex - tested by SHARP, the prominent independent test system run by the British Government, have obtained at least four stars.

  Furthermore, all “flip-up” helmets have received the highest possible rating in terms of chin guard latch reliability. This means that, for each of the products tested by SHARP, the chin guard remains completely closed during each of the 30 impacts.
